What you will be doing

We are looking for a regular and reliable volunteer to support a weekly gardening session delivered by ARC on Fridays 10am til 12noon at Lyttleton Community Garden in Warwick, CV34 5EW. You will be working alongside an ARC staff member to engage participants in wildlife gardening activities. You will ideally arrive from 9.30am to help set up and finish around 12.30pm. There will also be monthly sessions on a Saturday, same time nearby to the garden and the Packmores Community Centre. It would be ideal if the same volutneer could attend those.

Skills Description

Ideally you will be a friendly and reliable person interested in supporting others to engage in wildlife gardening. You may be good at listening to others and able to take instructions. You may already enjoy active gardening and being outdoors. And you may live locally to the garden in Warwick.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
