Aim: To enhance the online presence of Nuneaton Methodist Church, using media to share Good News and promote the church’s programs and initiatives within the local community.

Job Summary: To develop and maintain the church’s presence, online and within the community, encouraging and supporting other volunteers to contribute to this vital area of mission.

This role requires flexibility, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Nuneaton Methodist Church Council to achieve these goals. The Council consists of church leaders, administrative staff, and stewards who oversee the church's mission and outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Support with Content Creation:

* Assist in developing physical media, such as posters, flyers, and newsletters, to promote church events and programs.


2. Support with Social Media Management:

* Assist in creating and scheduling engaging posts for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).

* Support with sourcing or creating images, videos, and text to engage a diverse audience.

* Stay informed about social media trends and audience preferences.

* Help monitor and report on social media performance.


3. Support with Website Development and Maintenance:

* Assist in creating, updating and maintaining the church website.

* Collaborate with church volunteers to ensure accurate and timely content is published.

* Help with uploading multimedia content, such as videos and event information.


4. Support with Training and Mentoring:

* Provide guidance to volunteers on using digital technology, including social media and multimedia tools.


5. Support with Role Development:

* Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of media efforts and identifying areas for improvement.

* Attend meetings to share updates and offer recommendations on media strategies.

About You:

· A committed person who is passionate about supporting the church’s mission through media.

· Creative, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively with others.

· Comfortable using social media platforms and digital tools to create engaging content.

· Organised and detail-oriented, with good communication skills.

Person Specification Essential: · Willingness to support the church’s media presence. · Basic knowledge of social media platforms and website management. · Good IT skills and attention to detail. · Ability to work flexibly and support the church as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends. · Commitment to safeguarding, GDP, and confidentiality. Desirable: · Familiarity with the Methodist Church and its mission. · Experience with graphic design or digital marketing.
