This role will suit people who • Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with library staff, other volunteers and members of the public • Have a basic understanding of how the Library Service operates, either in general terms or from personal experience • Have the ability to communicate and engage with people of all ages, races, cultures and abilities • Are a reliable, confident and responsible individual, with enthusiasm and effective interpersonal skills • Have the ability to cope with the duties and responsibilities of the role and the associated environment, including an understanding of health and safety • Have a patient and approachable manner • Have excellent ICT skills, in particular; working with Microsoft Office Applications and Internet • Are able to follow guidelines/instructions
