Volunteer Activities Assistants

Our volunteer Activities Assistants play a vital role in ensuring all our members can access the activities we provide for them.
We run activities in our sessions to encourage socialisation and develop speech and language skills.
The role includes:
* Assisting the designated lead with running sessions & activities
* Setting up and packing down at our venues
* helping the children with arts and crafts
* supporting the children in accessing more physical activities
* Initiating conversation with the children and encouraging their participating.
* Participating in games and activities at our party's
* Some cleaning involved; cleaning down craft tables or any other activities which may have caused a mess.

Our Activity Assistants help make the magic happen.

We want you to befriend the children and their parents so ideally, we’d like a regular, longer term commitment.

This is a great opportunity to meet some wonderful children and their families and to make a difference to families who need extra support and occasionally some respite. You will also learn a great deal about Autism & ADHD. A great opportunity to gain experience for someone who wants to work with children.

Time required is 3 hours, one afternoon a month. 4.30pm - 7.30pm, 2nd Wednesday of every month. Opportunity for more hours if you wish to assist at our Youth Club session which is 1 evenings a month, or you would like to develop and organise activities to be done within our sessions.
