Swimming volunteer

Leamington Dolphins Swimming Club

We are looking for volunteers to come along and “Swim with Dolphins” every Sunday evening (during term time) from 5.30 – 6.30pm at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre.
The age range of our Members is 3 to 30+ - all of whom have additional needs. Although the Club was initially set up for children – they do have a habit of growing up – so we now cater for adults as well!
Volunteers can choose whether they would like to work in the leisure pool – where they would be helping our Members to gain general water confidence through the medium of play – or in the main pool, where they would be helping those just starting out on their swimming journey. If you have any actual teaching qualifications – you could have your own group of more advanced swimmers – but no experience is necessary for this role – we would just love to have you on board with us!

The main requirements of this role are: patience, kindness and a good sense of humour!

DBS checks will be carried out and paid for by the Club before you start work with us. You will be provided with a Club T-shirt and other Club merchandise, and we would hope that you would join us for all of our social activities eg Christmas Meal etc - all provided, as a little "thank you" free of charge. If you are interested in gaining formal teaching qualifications, the Club would be willing to fund these, on the understanding that you would commit to working with the Dolphins for a minimum of 18 months after course completion.

1 hour a week on a Sunday evening (term time only).
