Building Connections is an exciting new NSPCC service that supports and empowers young people to overcome loneliness.

65% of secondary school students say they don’t feel equipped to manage loneliness*. Research suggests young people may turn to risky or dangerous coping strategies. But you can change that.

We’re recruiting befrienders who’ll help young people find a safe way through loneliness. This is a fantastic opportunity to:

· volunteer from home for just 2 hours a week
· be part of a pioneering NSPCC service tackling loneliness head-on
· make a difference to young people’s lives over at least 12 months
· receive training and development through online workshops and modules
· be supported by befriending co-ordinators and team managers

We’re looking for passionate, patient and empathetic people with great communication skills to join our amazing community of volunteers across the UK, who are helping keep children safe. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Build support. Build confidence. Build connections.
