English Language Teaching Assistant - weekly

An exciting opportunity to support a beginner's class at a new venue building on our long established ESOL teaching in Central Sutton. Our lessons are informal teaching English to adult refugees and migrants and without an examination focus.

Each class has at least one teaching assistant whose role is to sit alongside learners and support them during the lesson, to play a part in the lesson as directed by the class teacher, to help the teacher to monitor progress and ideally to attend training sessions (organised once or twice a year).

Supporting an ESOL qualified teaching a class of perhaps 10-12 adult English Language learners. Ability to listen, understand and support

Our Teachers and Assistants have found the interaction with and appreciation of our students gives substantial reward. You will be part of an established team but having the opportunity to play a significant role in our new venture.

2 hours once a week in term time
