Volunteers should have experience working/volunteering with adults with learning difficulties/disabilities. Volunteers should be reliable, patient, caring and have a sense of fun, enjoy the outdoors and be good with people. Gardening skills are welcome, but can be learned during the role.

Volunteers will each receive one free place for themselves on our 6-week gardening course if they wish. Volunteers will be working as part of a team, helping to support learning disabled adults to fully engage with and enjoy their time at Carshalton Community Allotment. Make new friends and help us to provide this valuable service to the community.

Monday mornings (10.30 - 12.30), year round.

The allotments are off Colston Avenue, Carshalton, next to Carshalton Football Ground.

The role takes place at a borough allotment site. Ground is uneven and may be muddy. This role is best suited to people who can cope with the uneven terrain, can bend to ground level and partake in basic gardening activities.
