Support creative girls groups for children with social communication difficulties.

Knots Arts run groups specifically to support children and young people with social communication difficulties. We work with a wide variety of children and young people, and embrace the spectrum of talents and interests that our group members bring to Knots Arts.

Our Girls Groups run on a Monday from 4.30 - 7pm in Carshalton, the groups cover a wide range of creative activities and support girls aged 6 - 17 with social communication difficulties such as autism and ADHD.

We are looking for volunteers to come along and join in, help support the girls to access creative activities and generally have a lot of fun! This opportunity would suit someone who lives locally and is looking to gain experience in supporting and working with children.

A typical session will involve helping set up activities, welcoming the girls and joining in with the activity. You may also help specific girls to access activities if they need help, and then help to pack away at the end of sessions.

This is a great role for anyone interested in working with children and young people and looking to gain more experience. Volunteers will gain experience working with children and young people, and will learn strategies and skills to support children and young people living with social communication difficulties. Knots Arts will also process a DBS check for volunteers, and will provide references for job roles that are relevant to their volunteering. You will also meet other friendly staff and volunteers and become part of the team.
