Publicity Officer:

You will create and update social media content for our group.
You will write media releases for local newspapers and radio.
You will liaise with local media and undertake interviews yourself or arrange for another member of the team to do so.
You will attend team meetings, either in person or on line,and play an active role in decision making


Skills and experience desired:

You will need access to your own laptop/computer and internet.
Help is available to improve your skills with creating and posting on social media.
You will have good written and verbal communication skills.
You do not need experience in teaching adult literacy.

Administration,IT, Technology & Websites

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Creative & Design, Good IT Skills, Photography, Reading & Writing, Research

Good written and verbal communication skills. Confident with using social media. Access to a laptop or pc.

Undertake your volunteering at times to suit yourself. Support from other team members and head office. Expenses payable.

1-2 hours per week

The majority of this role is home based. Occasional in person team meetings are held at a venue with lift access (usually in the meeting room at the New Vic Theatre). Most team meetings are via zoom. Read Easy has an equal opportunities policy.
