Someone who can use their tenacity and creativity to raise funds to ensure the groups running expenses are covered so more people can learn to read. This role can be completed in your own time, on the internet by looking to see where we may be able to apply for grants or seeing where there are opportunities in our area where we can set up a stall. This role works closely with the publicity role and is also part of the management team. The management meet bi monthly to discuss what has been happening within the group.

● Knowledge and previous experience of fundraising is desirable, though not essential. ● A willingness to seek out potential sources of funding. ● Experience of writing funding bids is desirable, though not essential

● Develop fundraising skills; ● Develop your skills in organising events if you choose to use this approach; ● Meet and work collaboratively with new people; and ● Be active and engaged, adding value to your local community.

There is no set time for this role or set hours. You can do it when it suits you and your life style. It will also be busier at times when we need more funds. 2-3 hours per week or just keeping ears and eyes open at all times for any opportunities.
