Kendall and Wall is a Lichfield-based charity taking elderly and infirm local residents on day trips to local venues e.g. garden centres, restaurants, canal boat trips and many more using our small fleet of minibuses. Drivers should have a clean driving license with a D1 category on their license. Drivers are required to provide their services once or twice a week. They should be mobile enough to tether wheelchairs to the floor of a minibus using the shackles provided. They will be required to manoeuvre wheelchairs on and off minibuses using the tail lift on each bus and, on occasion, to push wheelchairs around garden centres and other similar venues.

UK Driving Licence

Drivers should be courteous and respectful of other drivers and drive carefully knowing that they have a minibus with elderly and infirm clients on board.

Drivers will gain a good deal of satisfaction and joy knowing you are helping local residents who are suffering from loneliness and social isolation. They also have an opportunity to visit venues of interest free of charge.

Drivers will be expected to provide one or two days a week, minimum 4 days a month, for day trips

Further location details may be provided below.

The 3 minibuses are located at Atlas Clinical in Lichfield (post code WS13 7SG)

It is expected that drivers will have their own mode of transport to be able to get to the compound where the buses are located. Where this is not possible, the site is only 5 minutes from Lichfield bus and train station by taxi. Costs for taxis will be reimbursed.
