We are looking for volunteers to be part of our team on Friday and Saturday nights. Our shift starts at 10:00 pm and goes on until around 2:00am. Whilst out and about the team is in direct contact with Townsafe CCTV via a radio system.

We operate all year round on a rota basis. Volunteers can go out only when they wish and hence those who are only able to volunteer occasionally are welcome. First aid training is provided.

Tamworth Street Angels is all about ensuring people are able to feel safe on the streets of our town. We offer support, care and assistance to anyone who needs it and to those who become vulnerable during a night out. In doing so we also look to reduce the pressures on the already overstretched emergency services, thus leaving the NHS and Police more time to deal with more urgent incidents.

Above all, Street Angels is fun and a hugely rewarding experience, allowing volunteers to make a valuable contribution to the local community and night time economy. If you are interested then you are invited to join one of our teams as an observer in the first instance without any obligation.

Being part of Tamworth Street Angels is fun and a hugely rewarding experience. Our volunteers are encouraged to enjoy themselves and to recognise the contribution that they are making to the night-time economy in Tamworth

We operate on a rota basis with the rota being sent out each week to allow volunteers to put down any future availability they may have. Hence those who are only able to volunteer occasionally are welcome. When out on shift we start at 10pm and go on to around 2am.
