Make a difference in your spare time!
The Purple Elephant Project is a local charity offering therapeutic support to children and families through play, as well as creative therapies. We’re passionate about early intervention and helping children feel safe, heard, and supported.

Like many small charities, we’re currently under threat due to limited funding – and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for warm, friendly, and reliable Fundraising Volunteers to help us at a range of fun and interactive events, including our exciting annual celebration, The Purple Parade!

What you might be doing:

Supporting at local fundraising stalls or community events

Helping to set up and pack down event spaces

Chatting with the public about our work

Selling raffle tickets or Purple Elephant merchandise

Handing out leaflets and raising awareness of our cause

Whether you have just a few hours to give or can commit to several events, your time and energy will directly support vulnerable children in our community.

💜 No prior experience needed – just a big heart and a willingness to help!

Interested?
We’d love to have a quick chat and tell you more. Please contact Carol Fraser on 020 8744 1733 or email us to express your interest.

Join us, have fun, and help keep the magic of The Purple Elephant Project going.

We’re looking for volunteers who are friendly, approachable, and enjoy interacting with others. Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work as part of a team are essential. You don’t need previous experience – just reliability, enthusiasm, and a kind, can-do spirit. An interest in children’s wellbeing or community work is a bonus but not required.

What you’ll gain from volunteering with us: 🌟 Make a real difference – Know that your time is directly helping vulnerable children and families in your local community. 👥 Meet like-minded people – Be part of a warm, supportive team who care about making a positive impact. 🎉 Be part of fun, family-friendly events – From community fairs to our flagship Purple Parade, our events are vibrant, interactive, and full of heart. 📚 Learn new skills – Whether it’s public speaking, event planning, or simply building confidence, there’s lots to pick up along the way. 💜 Feel valued – You’ll be welcomed, appreciated, and supported every step of the way. We provide full guidance and always have a cuppa on hand! 🧠 Improve wellbeing – Volunteering can boost your mood, give a sense of purpose, and provide a fulfilling break from your usual routine.

We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months, (days are negotiable) with a few hours to spare now and then to support at community events. This helps us build a consistent, supportive team – and makes the experience even more rewarding for you too!
