What you will be doing

We are looking for a suitably qualified persons to run a weekly or fortnightly wellbeing class in one form of light exercise - Tai Chi/Chi Gong, Pilates, Yoga, Core Strength & Balance or similar (1 - 1.5 hours commitment per class) for a minimum of 6 months for our award winning charity which supports people affected by cancer. Classes can be run at a mutually convenient time during our client opening hours.

Skills Description

Qualification in a wellbeing class activity and some related experience in running a class. Ability to build rapport with our clients and be aware of health needs.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
