WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP SPORTSPEOPLE LIVING IN READING ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL?

Since 1981 Reading Sports Aid Fund (RSAF) have been supporting local sporting talent with small financial awards to help with equipment, coaching or competition costs. We accept applications from sportspeople with potential to improve at all ages and levels of competition.

RSAF are looking for new Managing Trustees to help review and refresh our activity and reconnect to the Reading sporting scene. You will work with Trustees representing Reading Borough Council and our leisure partners GLL to consider the future operation of RSAF and how to increase our funding and profile, as well as considering and deciding on the applications received for financial assistance.

An interest in competitive grassroots sport and the challenges faced by sportspeople trying to improve is essential for this role and if you can offer experience in sports coaching and administration, media/public relations or fundraising then we would love to hear from you.

The minimum commitment will be to attend three to four Trustees meetings per year plus occasional publicity events with supporters and awardees, all taking place in central Reading. This is a voluntary role but reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.

If you are interested please get in touch with an outline of your relevant skills and experience and why you are interested in joining Reading Sports Aid Fund.

Reading Sports Aid Fund is an independent Trust supported by Reading Borough Council as the Corporate Trustee and the Mayor of Reading as ex officio Chair. The Council provides administrative services but no direct financial support.
