Arthros is looking for a trustee with a background of clinical skills (e.g. nurse/ physiotherapist / occupational therapist/ GP or similar NHS experience /skills) to help Arthros with the re- launch of our website and grants programme, to fund smaller aids and appliances that will enable local Reading applicants living with disabling Arthritis to live more independently.
This voluntary role will be mainly from home with monthly evening meetings on-line midweek for Trustees and quarterly face to face meetings on a Saturday at a central location inn Reading

Advice, Information & Support,Trusteeships & Committees,First Aid

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Evaluating & Reviewing, Managing People, Organising & Planning

Previous NHS / similar experience and understanding of the impact of Arthritis on the lives of sufferers. Good communication, interpersonal and digital skills, while also methodical and organised . This role involves reviewing and assessing applications to deliver grants for aids and appliances that will benefit those in need of Arthros help Good teamwork skills essential to work as part of the Arthros team to deliver help to those applying .

The knowledge that you will be making an immediate and real difference in the lives of those living with Arthritis, through your efforts, and the chance to build on skills and experience as part of the Arthros team.

Role covers the Reading area only and will mainly be working from home, with quarterly meetings in central Reading

These roles are hybrid- both remote working- through monthly meetings on-line , with quarterly meetings face to face in central Reading . This is a voluntary position, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

The Charity's face to face meetings are 4 times a year , and at a central Reading venue which is accessible for wheel chairs In between those dates meetings will be on- line monthly , usually mid- week .
