Age UK East London is a local independent charity working with older people mainly in the boroughs of Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. We are looking for meet and greet volunteers to support our charity.

The MLC Meet and Greet Volunteer role at the Marie Lloyd Centre aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors and participants. Volunteers will assist in greeting guests, directing them to events or activities, and ensuring a smooth experience for everyone attending the Community centre.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Welcoming everyone with a warm smile and ensuring they feel valued.
• Helping visitors navigate the centre and find the activities or services they need.
• Answering questions and providing information about the centre's events, partners, and programs.
• Serving tea or coffee to visitors and those waiting.
• Promoting the exciting activities and services available at the centre, encouraging participation and community involvement.
• Playing a key part in strengthening the Marie Lloyd Centre’s presence and reputation within the Hackney community.

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email

· Are friendly, approachable, and have excellent communication skills. · Enjoy meeting and working with people from diverse backgrounds. · Can multitask and stay organized in a busy environment. · Have a passion for supporting the community. · Are flexible and adaptable to different roles. · Applicants must be over 18.
