What you will be doing

Would you like more experience of working with families and young children? Are you creative? We are looking for volunteers to assist with our Art Play session. You would be helping our Art Play leader to prepare and set up our weekly activities as well as support families to have meaningful engagement with the activities during. The session is part of our wider intergenerational All Ages project that we run at the centre every Thursday during term time. As an Art Play volunteer you would be part of a fun, creative and supporting team of volunteers and staff.

The Family Art Play volunteer will assist our Art Play leader to set up and deliver craft activities for parents/carers and their under 5s that attend our drop-in intergenerational All Ages project on Thursdays.

Tasks will include:

- setting up tables and mats in the hall in advance of the session
- helping to prepare specific activities (with guidance from our Art Play leader)
- engaging adults and children with the activity
- helping to tidy away materials and clean up the area at the end of the session.
