What you will be doing

Talking to groups about what they'd like to eat
Ensure food is prepared and served in line with food hygiene regulations
Ensure that any meals not served are safely cooled, packaged, labelled and frozen in accordance with food hygiene regulations and details added to inventory
Complete cleaning checklist and associated paperwork
Ensure all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are washed, surfaces and floors cleaned according to guidelines
There will always be 2 volunteers at each session

Skills Description

You will need to have or be willing to undertake food hygiene training (Ledbury Community Hub will provide this) Confident to cook a variety of dishes for up to 20 people Sympathetic to the vison and mission of Ledbury Community Hub

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
