1. Develop Strategy for DG: Create and implement a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and vision. This plan should outline clear goals, actionable steps, and measurable outcomes to effectively advance the organization's objectives in the community.
2. Provide Strategic Leadership: Take the helm of the Board of Trustees, offering direction and oversight that ensures compliance with all pertinent legislation and regulations. This role involves guiding discussions during board meetings and developing and enforcing governance policies that drive the organization toward its mission. Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency within the board and encourage members to actively participate and contribute to the Organization's vision.
3. Develop Collaborative Partnerships: Proactively seek and nurture relationships with local statutory bodies, groups and non-profit organizations. This includes identifying funding bodies that align with DG's vision and mission and engaging them in meaningful dialogue to explore potential collaboration.
4. Serve as the Chief Spokesperson: Function as the face of DG, articulating its vision and mission, effectively.

Administration

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Evaluating & Reviewing, Managing People, Organising & Planning

• Exceptional leadership abilities and substantial experience in relevant fields related to the organization's goals. • Ability to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork among members and possess excellent communication skills. • Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations at community events and conferences. A visible presence in the community, inspiring its members to get involved, whether through volunteering, advocating, or contributing resources.
