What you will be doing

We are looking for volunteer radio presenters for weekday morning slots of 2 hours a week (8am - 10am Mon, Tues, Thurs) to present from The Roundhouse Marlowes, Hemel Town Centre. Full training is given which is starting last week of April - 2 sessions a week, 1hr each, but a basic knowledge of social media is essential. All volunteers must be over 18 as they will lone work once trained. Compliance with Ofcom Regulations mandatory (DAB Requirement).

Skills Description

• Music Selection: Prepare 30 trending chart songs—family-friendly tracks that listeners of all ages can enjoy on their way to school or work. • Traffic Updates: Research and report on traffic conditions in and around Dacorum, including heavy traffic and road closures. • Entertainment & Engagement: Add a touch of light-hearted chat and fun Q&As, such as "Which Grammy Award did Beyoncé win in 2025?" • Potential to Interview: Find someone with something to say? Feel free to bring them on to spread their message across Dacorum (Guest approval required by management prior to show, script MUST be preapproved and follow DAB compliance). Who We’re Looking For: • Confident speakers who enjoy interacting with an audience. • Basic knowledge of social media is required including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. • Passion for music and an understanding of current chart hits. • Willingness to research traffic updates and prepare engaging content. • Reliable and committed to the show schedule.
