The van drivers are a key element of our Retail and Trading operation. They ensure that both new and donated items are moved between our shops, Ecommerce centre and R&T hub to ensure that we maximise the income we can generate for the benefit of our patients and their families. They provide key support to our fast-moving retail environment, where no two days are the same.

The vans are based in Berkhamsted and each day travel around our shops and offices in west Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Volunteers on the morning run will deliver and transfer stock between our 32 shops.

Volunteers on the afternoon run will visit the shops to pick up "rags" - those items that are not good enough quality to sell - and bring them back to Berkhamsted. This is a valuable source of income for us, and the rag company will pay more to collect only from one source.

You will be accompanied by a driver's mate on each run wherever possible. Some goods may be heavy so would not be suitable for those who have bad backs etc.
