We are looking for a friendly enthusiastic volunteer to join our Sunnyside café team at The Forum, Hemel Hempstead on Tuesdays between 10am and 1pm. Some hospitality knowledge would be an advantage, but not essential as we can provide training on the job. This is a public facing role which will involve food preparation, clearing tables, washing up, serving customers, taking orders, and till work. Whilst being part of a fantastic team, the volunteer would need to be able to work independently as this can be a busy period in our Sunnyside Forum café.

A background in café/hospitality would be an advantage, but not essential. It's more important to bring a friendly enthusiastic face to our Sunnyside café as training will be provided and you'll be part of our Sunnyside family, whilst also being able to work independently at busy periods. You would also need to be able to get to The Forum independently.

You will have full support from the volunteer coordinator and training from staff to become part of our fantastic Sunnyside team of volunteers. You will enjoy being part of a team interacting with many different people visiting our café. Our staff discounts also apply to our volunteers on all of our sites so you can enjoy our Sunnyside Up Café for more edible delights, and plants for your home and garden.

Every Tuesday - 10.00am - 1.00pm

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds over the age of 18. After an initial meeting with the volunteer coordinator we do require completion of an application form supplying your work/volunteering history, two references, and we will apply for a DBS check for you, prior to volunteering.
