What you will be doing

Mentor a student at Harris Academy Beulah Hill, this is a hybrid career-based mentoring programme!
We recruit, train and deploy volunteer mentors, matching them with mentees and providing high-quality support so they are well-prepared and can have an effective and impactful mentoring relationship. Our mentoring is one-to-one, for young people aged 14-25 years old, for 1 hour, once a month, for up to a year.

Skills Description

We ask our volunteers to sign up to our platform and complete some mandatory online training. Mentors to have 5 years experience, 2 years experience post graduate or retired / on a career break.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
