Cre8 is looking for additional Club Welfare Officers to support the growth of our club and ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants, particularly those under 18. This role plays a key part in maintaining high safeguarding standards, supporting volunteers and players, and working closely with the Volunteer Coordinator and key football organisations.

As Club Welfare Officer, you will:

-Promote best safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with FA policies
-Act as the main point of contact for welfare-related queries and concerns
-Work in partnership with the Volunteer Coordinator to support volunteers in creating a safe and welcoming environment
-Collaborate with County FA Welfare Officers, Youth Leagues, and The FA
-Ensure the club’s Respect Programme is embedded in all activities
-Support coaches, parents, and players with welfare-related advice and guidance
-Monitor and improve the recruitment process for volunteers, ensuring appropriate safeguarding checks are in place

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential welfare matters sensitively and fairly. Experience in safeguarding, education, social work, or youth engagement is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided.

-Make a meaningful impact by ensuring a safe and inclusive club environment -Gain valuable experience ( and/or further it/pass on knowledge) in safeguarding, youth work, and football administration -Receive full training and qualifications, including FA Safeguarding and Welfare courses (covered by Cre8) -Be fully supported by the club, with guidance from the committee, Volunteer Coordinator, and County FA Welfare Officers -Network with key football organisations (County FA, Youth Leagues, The FA) -Flexible commitment, primarily remote with some in-person involvement -Join a welcoming, community-focused club that values inclusivity and development

-3-5 hours per week, with flexibility in how this is structured -Short-term (8-10 months) or long-term commitments available -Predominantly remote, with some in-person presence encouraged -Office space available in Croydon/Carshalton for admin work if needed
