Prior experience working with young people (preferred but not essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and a good listener. Committed to supporting young people in their personal and educational development. Ability to maintain confidentiality and set appropriate boundaries. We invite anyone with a passion for literature and reading, or background in teaching, tutoring or who feels they can support the Study Hub at Legacy to contact us today and make a positive impact to young people by volunteering at Legacy!

Volunteers will get to be part of a team supporting young people. You will meet new people, learn new skills or share your skills and experiences with others and have fun doing so. Volunteering at Legacy will not only give individuals the opportunity to be part of the bigger picture but to also join an award winning youth provision that is providing thousands of young people access to a broad range of activities, enabling them to discover talents and skills they otherwise might not have known they had. This helps young people, some from disadvantaged backgrounds, channel their energy in positive and productive ways whilst making friends and learning new skills. Join us if you are passionate about young people and want to make a positive impact in a young persons life, and break negative cycles.

We ask our volunteers to commit to 1 session per week for a 3-month minimum time frame
