We are currently recruiting a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in financial services or accounting and be familiar with financial systems within a business or charity environment.
Along with demonstrable financial skills, we are looking for somebody with enthusiasm and commitment to our values to help further our aims and, in conjunction with the other Trustees, oversee the charity's strategic management and governance.
Specifically, the Treasurer will maintain an overview of the charity’s financial affairs and viability, ensuring that appropriate records are kept and overseeing compliance with accounting, financial and legal obligations.
This is a voluntary role and the successful candidate will be expected to attend evening Trustee meetings every two months for approximately 2.5 hours, in addition to other occasional Trustee meetings and Pirate Castle events as required. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
