We have an exciting opportunity for a classroom assistant to help us for a pre-employment training and support programme for people with learning disabilities aged 19 and over.
The training includes CV preparation, Computer Basics, Interview Preparation and an Introduction to Work and more. Students will learn how to prepare for an interview, employability skills, using a computer and will aim to grow in confidence, to understand working life better and improve their I.T skills.
The training programme aims to get our learners ready for the world of work. The classes will be led by tutors who prepare and deliver the course material. The role of the volunteer will be to assist individuals with learning disabilities with basic functional skills - generally at entry levels or level 1. You will be helping with basic I.T skills such as using email, applying for jobs etc. You will also be helping the tutor wherever necessary.
