What you will be doing

NCT Orpington & District is looking for a volunteer treasurer to support its activities in the local area.

This is flexible opportunity to join a committed team, learn new skills and make a difference in your community.

The role will take on average 1-2 hours per week and will fit around other commitments.

No accounting experience necessary, just basic budgeting and computer literacy.

You will support the volunteer team, managing money, maintaining records, authorising payments and making budgeting decisions for the team.

Full training given with lots of support.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
