We are
• A friendly, vibrant user led organisation run by and for Deaf and Disabled people and carers living, working and studying in the London Borough of Bromley.
• Inclusive of ALL Disabled people and carers, including people with physical, sensory, mental health, long-term health conditions, learning or development barriers, neuro-divergent people and those who use or have used drug or alcohol services.

Our aims

Our staff and management committee are all Disabled people or carers and are totally committed to building an inclusive and diverse society where everyone has the chance to thrive. We aim to:
• To support Deaf and Disabled people and Carers to get their voices heard and to influence change locally.
• To promote independent living and inclusion.
• To promote equality by developing the skills of Disabled people and supporting them to take on leadership roles.
You are someone who
• Has experienced physical, sensory, mental health, long-term health conditions, learning or development barriers, are neuro-divergent or someone who uses or has used drug or alcohol services or you care for someone who has this experience
• Has knowledge, experience and skills in finance, understanding budgets, management accounts, annual accounts and budget projection
• Wants to help Disabled people have a voice and influence in society
• Is available to attend meetings every other month (currently online)
• Is willing to give your time on a volunteer basis

Finance & Accountancy,Trusteeships & Committees

Bookkeeping & Finance, Maths

Needs to be able to understand QuickBooks as well as Excel spreadsheets of financial quarterly and yearly budgets and budget projections as well as audited accounts (we have an accountant who prepares these). Willing to attend Board meetings every other month, currently via Zoom. You can fit your volunteering around your commitments as we are very flexible.

Our office is located near to The Glades shopping Centre in Bromley and to North Bromley train station and various bus routes. But this role can be delivered from your home.
