Sweet Peas

Our early years playgroup for 0-5 year olds with additional needs and their siblings.
We meet in Biggleswade, Kempston and Bedford for music, stories and sensory play .
Parents and carers have the chance to meet with other families in similar circumstances, share experiences over a coffee/lunch and have the support and guidance from our family support workers.

Art & Design,Caring,Youth Work,Under 16 Volunteering

Art & Craft, Cleaning & Tidying

Experience with young disabled children/children useful but not essential. Enthusiasm, patience, good listening/communication skills. Must be 13 or over.

If you find baby smiles infectious and adore toddler giggles then Little Sweet Peas is for you.

3 hours per session

1st Fri of each month – 11:00 -13:00 St Andrew’s Church, Shortmead Street, Biggleswade 2nd Weds of each month – 09:30-11:30 Queen’s Park Neighbourhood Centre, Bedford 4th Fri of each month – 11:00-14:00 The Children’s Development Centre (CDC), Hill Rise, Kempston.

Information is available in a variety of formats. Venues visited have to be accessible for the Little Sweet Pea members to attend so therefore they are accessible for volunteers too.

PPE is available at all sessions, and training is provided. LFT tests are required of those who are able to take them. Government guidelines are followed. Our Covid safe policy and actions are regularly reviewed to ensure good practice and safety.
