What you will be doing

This opportunity provides a chance for you to work on a variety of projects under supervision but you will also be able to work alone and use your own initiative.

We are looking to recruit an administrator to provide professional, responsive, timely and accurate administrative work, duties include general office duties, maintaining and updating relevant databases and dealing with day-to-day queries. You will have knowledge of office practice and procedures and a will be a confident Microsoft office user including word, excel and outlook. You must be an effective and confident communicator, with good telephone and customer care manners.

Skills Description

- Good communication skills - Replying to correspondence (email and letter) - Preparing agendas for meetings and taking minutes during meetings - Helping to organise displays - Maintaining diaries for meetings and events - Helping to organise / schedule events, activities & courses - Handling telephone enquiries - Report writing and produce tables - Help during fundraising events - Preferably someone who has good IT skills

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
