What you will be doing

Volunteering for Ampthill & Flitwick Good Neighbours Scheme could not be easier, as we are interested in utilizing your skills and experience as a driver to help those residents needing help. This may involve Shopping, Running Errands, Doctor/Hospital/Clinic Appointments or Collecting Prescriptions.

It is important to emphasize that as a volunteer you can do as little or as much as you want.

The main thing is that you will gain satisfaction and fulfilment in knowing that you are helping your 'neighbours'.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold
