-Attending community events such as Luton Carnival, Desi Fest, Luton Town Football Club games etc.
-Helping to set up information stalls at community events
-Handing out information leaflets
-Helping people to complete the 'Great British Bone Check' - www.ros.org.uk/luton-risk-checker - via smartphone, and helping people to sign up to the Better Bones Luton mailing list
-Stewarding events, for example signing guests in
-Supporting recruitment of new volunteers and informal helpers
-Following ROS policies, keeping risk assessments current, and sharing accurate information

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Managing People, Organising & Planning

A detailed knowledge of osteoporosis isn’t needed — just enthusiasm for supporting the charity’s work. Helpful qualities include: -Friendly communication skills -Basic IT confidence – especially smartphones -Teamwork -Empathy for people affected by osteoporosis. -Good listener -Organised and punctual

-Full induction, ongoing support from the charity, and access to the 2026 volunteer recognition programme -If you are a regular volunteer, free honorary ROS membership (worth £36 per year)

Ad-Hoc in the Luton area. The ROS attends events across Luton, please make a note of the dates of major local festivals, such as Luton Carnival and Luton Pride.
