Headway Bedford is a charitable, limited company, affiliated to Headway - the brain injury association. We exist to support and rehabilitate people with acquired brain injuries and their carers in the Mid and North Bedfordshire area. We now need some additional volunteers to join our Board of Trustees.
Duties are light, but vitally important in ensuring the continuing success of this enthusiastic group.
The extent of your involvement is flexible, but you will help to advise on operational strategy and will support the existing team of paid staff and volunteers.
You will be able to attend Board meetings (about six a year) and take on other roles, depending on your availability and experience. We meet in the evenings from 7.00pm till 9.00pm usually on a Monday although this is flexible
Those with experience of company or team management, nursing, physiotherapy, accountancy, law and, of course, head injury or stroke will be particularly suitable. You may have retired from one of these professions, or simply have a little time to spare.
