What you will be doing

To assist the charity shop Serendipity to help grow our income by documenting, photographing, posting and managing items on our eBay.

The shop supports Reclaim Life http://reclaimlife.net/ who are a team of volunteers offering 5 free sessions of therapeutic life coaching, a programme to help people who are experiencing emotional distress to understand their emotional needs, learn coping strategies and techniques to help with managing stress, anxiety, anger, trauma and depression.

Skills Description

To be able to write descriptions of items and post them on eBay to engage with customers to sell the items. Take and upload good photos of the items. To engage with eBay buyers and dispatch items in the post.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
