Volunteer Administrator Role:

The volunteer will play a key role in coordinating and developing the administrative functions of the Intersectionality Women’s Programmes CIC. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing various aspects of volunteer activities and supporting the organisation’s mission.

Key Duties:
- Administrative and bookkeeping experience required.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping systems.
- Research and apply for funding opportunities:
- Collaborate and assist the funding officer with researching potential funding sources.
- Draft and submit tailored bids and applications.
- Create and format Word documents.
- Identify and engage with local, national, and international organisations for partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with the funding officer to identify funding opportunities that contribute to the organisation’s fundraising strategy.
- Research local events that the IWP can participate in.
- Assist with applications for local grants, ensuring all eligibility criteria are met.
- Provide general administrative and operational support as needed.

Based on the volunteer administrator role description, the minimum skills and abilities required would include: 1. Administrative Skills: A solid foundation in administrative practices is essential, including experience with general office duties and bookkeeping. 2. Organisational Skills: The ability to maintain accurate record-keeping systems and manage multiple tasks efficiently. 3. Research Skills: Proficiency in researching funding opportunities and identifying local events relevant to the organisation's mission. 4. Writing Skills: Strong writing abilities to draft tailored bids and applications for funding, as well as to create and format various documents. 5. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage with local, national, and international organisations for partnership opportunities. 6. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with the funding officer and other team members to align strategies and meet goals. 7. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure that applications meet eligibility criteria and that record-keeping is accurate. 8. Flexibility: Willingness to provide general administrative support and adapt to evolving responsibilities as the organisation's needs change.
