This exciting new opportunity is based at our Home Safety Centre at Luton Fire Station. Set up with a kitchen, living room and bedroom, visiting groups have a safety talk before using their newly acquired knowledge to spot the different hazards found most frequently at home.
There are opportunities for Volunteers to be involved with booking visits, welcoming groups, giving pre-prepared talks, and enabling visitors to learn more about keeping safe at home.

Administration,General & Helping

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Organising & Planning, Reading & Writing

Fluent in spoken and written English Basic admin experience useful People engagement experience an advantage Friendly and welcoming disposition

Rewarding role where you'll be helping a range of people to learn about keeping safe at home Build your knowledge of home and other safety matters Chance to gain confidence talking to groups Great way to brush up admin and other skills in non-pressurised environment Opportunities for personal development Ongoing support from Volunteer Manager and colleagues Being part of great team at Beds Fire!

At least six hours a month, daytime Monday to Friday.
