Family Support Worker

Providing telephone emotional and practical support to service users.
Completing initial assessments to include risk assessments and safety planning; training will be given.
This role can be completed from home and support worker is able to manage their own time with service users needs.
Support worker will gain experience facilitating and delivering 1-2-1 and group programmes if desirable.

Befriending, Buddying & Mentoring,Community Work,Counselling,Support Work,Employee & Group Volunteering

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Counselling, Managing People, Negotiating

Basic use of Microsoft. Good customer service skills

Continued professional development. Learning specialist skill sets. Confidence in presenting groups. Conflict resolution skills. Assessment skills. Risk management. Working as a team. Reasonable expenses are paid including mileage. Free food if attending face to face groups.

This can be discussed. You are able to manage your own time dependant on service user needs. Our service runs Monday to Friday with some evening work if desired. There is no minimum or maximum hours to this role.
