What you will be doing

To assist with setup of club sessions eg. signs, posters, banners etc.
To register the attendance of participants
To manage the petty cash float for attendance fees

Skills Description

Greeting customers: Welcoming attendees to the sessions and providing any necessary information or assistance. Ticket sales: Selling tickets or collecting admission fees from attendees. Managing inquiries: Answering questions from attendees about the sessions, rules and facilities. Communication: Keeping members informed about upcoming events, changes to schedules and other important information. Liaison: Serving as a point of contact between the club and external organizations, such as other sports clubs or governing bodies. Event coordination: Helping to organise fundraisers, social events, and other activities to support the club. General administrative support: Assisting with any other tasks needed to keep the club running smoothly.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
