• Under the direction of the Supportive Care Lead to provide spiritual and religious care to patients, their families and friends, and staff at the Living Well Centre
• To spend time listening to, and talking with patients, family members, friends, and staff at the Living Well Centre
• With the permission of individuals, to pray and read scripture and perform any religious services and rituals as requested
• To provide direct spiritual support and end of life counsel to patients, their families and friends in keeping with their spiritual beliefs
• To provide spiritual care to people of other faiths, if appropriate and with their agreement
• With the Supportive Care Lead and other appropriate people, to ensure that appropriate spiritual support is accessed for all patients, their families and friends
• To work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of holistic care for patients, their families and friends
• To work with staff, clergy and leaders of other faiths to enhance awareness of the spiritual concerns of patients, their families and friends experiencing terminal illness or loss
• To work with the multidisciplinary team to assess the spiritual needs of patients, their families and friends
• Maintain proper documentation/ records of visits/ contact with patients, their families and friends
• To attend appropriate meetings at the request of the Supportive Care Lead or the Senior Management Team
• To provide on call chaplaincy on a rota basis
• To maintain confidentiality at all times
• To work within the principles, policies and ethos of Keech Hospice Care
• To publicise the work of the Hospice in accordance with its aims and philosophies
• Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are observed and to be aware of their responsibility for their own and others safety
• To perform all duties as delegated and supervised by Supportive Care Lead
