Biggleswade Community Gardens are a group of local volunteers building and maintaining community garden sites across Biggleswade for the enjoyment of all residents. We have a successful veg garden providing food for the community as well as 2 flower gardens and a wildflower bank. If you are interested in growing your own food, flowers and creating nice spaces for the community and for the environment, please join us! No skills required, but plenty of opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people and enjoy nature!

No skills needed, just an interest in gardening and willingness to learn! Plenty of opportunities to get involved from building planters, to painting, creating posters and artwork, and weeding, watering and planting. All expertise welcome including fundraising, publicity, creativity and event planning skills as well as DIY and gardening knowledge.

- Enjoy nature and help protect our environment, enhance biodiversity and create nice places for all to enjoy, support your community! - Grow fruit, veg and flowers for all to enjoy (Fruit and veg produce shared with volunteers and local foodbanks). - Meet new people, have fun and socialise. - Come to socials, plant swaps, gardening activities for all the family e.g. seed-bomb making, succulent planting and mural painting. - We have recently embarked on a new project at Biggleswade train station, we are revamping the planters and designing a mural- come get involved and leave a lasting legacy in your community!

Join in for as many sessions as you like! We water on evenings during hot periods, and have weekend sessions for DIY projects, planting and weeding both sites. No need to commit to more sessions than you are able, any involvement is very welcome.

Chestnut Avenue (monthly sessions 1st Sunday of the month) is located opposite the fire station and behind Stratton House pub in Biggleswade Town Centre. It is in Chestnut Avenue car park, where parking is free at weekends and within 5 mins walk of the train station and walkable from other areas of Biggleswade. Northfields Community centre is at the top of Northfields in Biggleswade, behind Winston Crescent, which is off Furzenhall Road. 10 mins walk from the town centre. Monthly sessions are 2nd Saturday of the month from 10am.

Northfields is based in a community centre and very accessible, including allowing for wheelchairs and raised beds. Our veg garden is also accessible with wide paths and includes raised beds.
