Reception / Welcomer Volunteers have the important role of welcoming visitors to our services, being that first friendly face that people see and helping them to find their way.

Our Luton Children & Adults Community Health Services would like to welcome volunteers to support our reception / administration team at The Poynt in Luton. The Poynt is a staff office where teams from a variety of Adults and Children’s services are based.

This volunteer role will enhance the front of house experience and welcome staff and visitors at reception, provide relevant information and supporting with admin tasks.

The role is based at:
The Poynt, Units 2-3 Poynters Road, Luton, LU4 0LA - and is available Monday-Friday, with volunteers choosing a morning or an afternoon session.

Friendly and approachable. Excellent communication skills. Volunteers will need to undergo recruitment checks in line with NHS Employers recommendations - right to work and ID checks, references and occupational health screening, as well as complete annual mandatory training.

The opportunity to gain confidence and experience in an NHS environment. Experience of an NHS office environment to use existing skills or develop new ones. Ongoing support from the volunteering team. Reasonable travel expenses reimbursed. Recognition of the value you bring to our organisation.

Monday - Friday in office hours. Average commitment expected to be 4 hours per week. Volunteers can choose to do a morning or afternoon session according to their availability.
