What you will be doing

A friendly and approachable person is required for our small team to help support our What Say You podcast and media youth project.

Duties will involve planning and preparing episode topics and interview questions. Editing podcast content, writing brief show notes for each episode and posting the podcast online.

There will be opportunities to express your creativity by helping to produce and design publicity, but your strength will be in strong podcast production and editing skills. You must be an effective and confident communicator and, passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

This opportunity will provide a chance for you to work on a variety of projects under supervision but you will also be able to work alone and use your own initiative.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
