What you will be doing

To attend NHS events in East Kent to promote NHS health checks and other NHS campaigns. For this role you would be volunteering on information stalls as an Ambassador for the NHS. The ability to travel is essential for this - either by car or public transport . This role is part of the Volunteer to Career, NHS pilot in East Kent. Its an ideal volunteer role for someone who wants to volunteer in the health and social and get valuable hands-on experience.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
